We've Moved: Introducing My New Personal Website – Built from Scratch

After years of using Google Sites as a personal hub for my development and music work, I’m excited to announce the launch of a completely redesigned and custom-built personal website:

This transition marks a significant step forward in how I present my work — from a simple hosted page to a fully custom Single Page Application (SPA) designed with scalability, performance, and user experience in mind.





Why the Move?

Google Sites served its purpose, but as my portfolio grew, I quickly hit its limitations. I wanted a platform that reflected both my technical skills and my brand. The result is a fully self-developed solution built from the ground up, using modern web technologies and design principles.

What’s New?

The new website introduces a number of improvements over the previous version:

  • Material Design 3 UI
    Built using Material Web Components, the site embraces Google's latest design system for a clean, accessible, and responsive interface.

  • Single Page Application (SPA)
    All navigation is handled client-side, resulting in faster transitions and a more app-like feel.

  • Dark & Light Theme Support
    Users can toggle between themes, with preferences saved locally for a consistent experience.

  • Live Blog Integration
    Latest posts from my Blogger site are pulled dynamically using the Blogger API — no need to update manually.

  • Modular Navigation & Organized Structure
    A responsive drawer with collapsible sections makes browsing easy across devices.

  • Comprehensive Legal Section
    Dedicated cards for Privacy Policy, Code of Conduct, Ads & Data usage, and Legal Notices — all transparent and accessible.

  • Direct Links to My Work
    Quick access to my apps on Google Play, developer profiles, and open-source contributions.

Built with Developers in Mind

As an Android developer and open-source advocate, I wanted this project to serve as both a living portfolio and a showcase of my capabilities. Here's a breakdown of the stack:

  • Languages: HTML5, CSS3 (modular structure), modern JavaScript

  • UI Framework: Material Web Components

  • Routing: Custom-built JavaScript router

  • API Integration: Blogger REST API

  • Hosting: GitHub Pages

A Personal Milestone

Building this site from scratch has been a rewarding experience, blending design, code, architecture, and performance. It’s not just a profile page — it’s a modular, expandable platform that reflects who I am as a developer, creator, and builder.

I’m proud of the result, and I look forward to continuing to expand it with new features, projects, and content.
